Gallatin Teachers Reading

Gallatin Teachers Reading, a Writing Program event series at which professors read from recently published books, offers a glimpse into the Gallatin faculty’s latest scholarship. Amanda Petrusich will moderate.

Cyd Cipolla will read from Queer Feminist Science Studies: A Reader (University of Washington Press, 2017), a collection of essays at the intersection of science and technology studies and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies, which Cyd Cipolla co-edited.

Gregory Erickson will read from two recent books: Religion and Popular Culture: Rescripting the Sacred (second edition, McFarland, 2016), which he co-wrote with Richard W. Santana, and Reading Heresy: Religion and Dissent in Literature and Art (De Gruyter, 2017), a volume on heresy, blasphemy, unbelief, dissent, and non-conformism in art and literature, which he co-edited.

Vasuki Nesiah will read from Bandung, Global History, and International Law: Critical pasts and Pending Futures (Cambridge University Press, 2017), a collection she co-edited  that explores the legacy of the 1955 conference in Bandung, Indonesia, which brought together leaders from 29 African and Asian states.
