CSAAD 2026 – 2027 Post Doctoral Research Fellowship
The CSAAD Research Fellowship invites scholars based based and living in Africa and the Diaspora (outside of North America and Europe), who have completed the PhD within the last four years, to submit applications for the opportunity to spend either one or two semesters at New York University. The fellowship is open to scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and the research must focus on some aspect(s) of Africa or its Diaspora.

CSAAD 2026 – 2027 Pre Doctoral Research Fellowship
The CSAAD Predoctoral Fellowship is open to anyone within the Humanities and Social Sciences whose research focuses on Africa or its Diaspora, and who is in the writing phase of their dissertation. The successful applicant will spend the 2026-27 academic year at the CSAAD offices at NYU. The Fellowship provides a $30,000 stipend and health insurance.
