Dr. Monique Bedasse is Associate Professor of History at New York University where she teaches courses on Africa and the African diaspora. Broadly, her research interests include the intellectual, political, and social history of decolonization, pan-Africanism, African diasporic politics, and transnational approaches to history. She is the author of the award winning Jah Kingdom: Rastafarians, Tanzania, and Pan-Africanism in the age of Decolonization.
